Inspired by "Lovin' and Livin' Life in the Ozarks"

I was looking for information on Shorecrest Resort and discovered a blog by "Rottlady" who had spent the first three years of her life at Shorecrest Resort in the 50s.  You can see her blog on the subject here: http://rottlady.blogspot.com/2009/01/living-on-lake-of-ozarks-in-50s.html#comment-32875269 you might have to scroll to the top to see some of the pictures.  Thanks Elizabeth.

  1. Jon, this is great and I'm so glad you decided to start this blog to document your memories of Shorecrest. Thanks for the mention, I'm going to post a link in my story to send readers over here to read about another two decades of resort.

I can't wait to see more pictures!

  2. My name is John Virgili, my grandfather Hans Johnson owned Shore Crest Resort in the mid 60s. I have lots of family photos that I would like to share. One thing I remember was helping to fill the soda machine having all the minnows I wanted from the bait shack.

  4. Sorry it took so long to get back to this blog. I have a brochure of the resort some where in with all my old photos. I will try to find them and e-mail them to you. If you have any info on what the resort looks like today please e-mail me at subrosadet@aol.com. I know that the cabins were sold off to private owners. I would like to try to travel to where the resort was sometime in the near future. Hang in there, I will find some time to locate the photos. thanks John Virgili
